1. Don't get a treatment on a full stomach
Before scheduling a massage, it is important to know that it is best to eat a light meal a few hours beforehand.
Having a full stomach can cause discomfort and prevent you from getting the most out of your massage. Additionally, if you are receiving a massage on your stomach, you should avoid eating for at least an hour prior to your appointment.
2. Prepare your body with a shower or bath
Taking a warm shower or bath prior to your appointment will help to relax your muscles and make the massage more effective. Additionally when you are clean, you don't have to worry about any natural odour or scent. your skin will be receptive to our range of organic natural oils.
3. Make sure you drink enough water
Before the treatment, it is important to ensure that you are well hydrated.
Massage stimulates the circulation of blood and lymphatic system, aiding in the removal of waste products and facilitating the flushing process in cells.
As a result, the body needs lots of water after a treatment as muscles can become dehydrated. Make sure to drink plenty of water before and after massage to ensure your body is in optimal condition.
4. It's okay to undress
Our massage therapist will use sheets and towels to cover you up, however it is polite to keep underpants on during the treatment.
Keep in mind that the massage therapist will only uncover the area of the body they are working on, and any areas not being worked on will remain covered.
5. Commit to more than just one treatment
While massage can provide short-term, temporary relief, for long-term effects, it is recommended that you will need more than just one treatment.
